Overview
The Project Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of the project , This position will take on full responsibility of implementing Paladyne® Suite at client sites. Project Manager will participate in the analysis, process design, and implementation of projects. Project Manager should have a strong background in accounting with an emphasis on financial services, proven client management skills, and the ability to manage and lead a team in monitoring client deliverables and meeting deadlines. The candidate should have practical Accounting and Operations experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects from requirements and gap analysis to process design to implementation
- Interview Senior Management and subject matter experts to gather business requirements and document appropriate work flows
- Analyze and evaluate current business processes and requirements for the purpose of making recommendations to management for new, more efficient workflows and processes
- Collaborate with business users and managers to learn the needs of the various business groups
- Interact with technical representatives to formulate possible solutions for current needs before and during their implementation
- Responsible for overseeing the process design aspect of projects to accommodate the needs of the business and participate in presentations of possible solutions to Senior Management
- Coordinate overall work plan for accounting staff, which includes managing and monitoring work in progress
- Review all work product prepared by implementation staff including monitoring pricing, P&L, NAV, and overall performance of staff
- Provide on-the-job coaching, training and leadership as necessary to the accounting team
- Contribute to internal project initiatives regarding new development, testing and implementation
Prerequisites
- Have at least 5 years of project management or business analyst related experience
- 5+ Years working at a Buy Side Institution (hedge fund is a big plus), first-tier Prime Brokerage, or a vendor product that caters to Buy Side community (Advent is a big plus)
- Extensive knowledge of hedge fund and hedge fund investor level accounting
- Knowledge of Market Data technologies (Reuters, Bloomberg)
- Experience and Working knowledge of Advent Geneva accounting system or other equivalent accounting systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly-developed analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong understanding of Hedge Fund structures
- Experience Fund Accounting/Administration experience is definitely a plus
- Working knowledge of MS Office and Microsoft Project
